The pure simple joy of a child finding a colorful Easter Egg at one of the community hunts can not be beat.  The Great Lakes Bay Region has multiple choices when it comes to Easter Egg Hunts from in the pools, to candy-free, or the traditional hunt.  Below list the local hunts, please take note of the ones that need a RSVP.  Is your event missing?  Submit it HERE.

11 AM: FREE – Bay Shores Annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Bay Shores Senior Care and Rehab Center, BAY CITY

Join us for an egg hunt beginning promptly at 11am until all eggs are gathered, snacks, and the Easter bunny. Age groups: 0-4, 5-8, and 9-11.

Saturday, April 4

4 – 5 PM: Easter Egg Hunt For A Cause! @ Jones Park, (North Jones Rd. and West Ridge Rd.) BAY CITY 

Bay Animal Hospital invites you to join us for an egg hunt for a cause! This event is being held in an effort to raise awareness & funding for our Angel Pet Fund here at the hospital. $5 per egg-seeker. Pre-registration at Bay Animal is recommended, but not required. There will be prizes for all egg-seekers.  This event will be held rain or shine!

Friday, April 10

2 – 4 PM: Splish Splash Egg Dash @ Delta College Fitness & Rec Center, UNIVERSITY CENTER

Children ages 1-14 will splish, splash and dash for eggs spread throughout the pool, participate in fun games, & recreational swimming. Each child will also receive a goodie bag to take home. Fee: $11.00/child. Registration deadline is April 8, 2020 –  RSVP LINK

10 – 10:30 AM: FREE *RSVP – 2nd Annual City Market Indoor Egg Hunt! (Ages 3 to 9) @ City Market, BAY CITY

Make this year’s egg hunt one to remember! You are invited to bring children (ages 3 to 9) to this fun indoor City Market candy adventure. Please plan to accompany your youngster(s) and assist them as needed. Space is limited, so pre-registration and tickets are required.

12:30 – 3:30 PM:  FREE – Great Egg Scramble @ Morey Court Recreation Center, MT. PLEASANT

The Great Egg Scramble is held annually each spring in partnership with WCFX. Children ages 2-10 scramble for plastic toy and candy filled eggs, candy, and prizes. Crafts, games and visits with Peter Cottontail highlight the festivities. Admission is free; canned good donations are accepted and benefit Isabella Community Soup Kitchen. Refreshments are available for purchase.

8:30 PM:  FREE – Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt @ Island Park, MT. PLEASANT

Hundreds of candy-filled eggs will be waiting for teens and their flashlights at Island Park! Come for a night of fun, food, and amazing prizes. Find special eggs and win really cool prizes including: gift cards for food, music, movie passes or maybe even the grand prize!

MIDLAND COUNTY

Saturday, April 11

9:30 AM – 12 PM: *RSVP – Nature’s Eggs Extravaganza @ Chippewa Nature Center, MIDLAND

Venture out for a special egg hunt event! Each child will make his/her own egg hunt bag, then venture into the woods to search high and low for hidden eggs. Prizes will be awarded to all participants. Before or after the hunt, be sure to spend time inside the Visitor Center discovering the wonders of Michigan’s egg-laying animals through various games and activities. For everyone’s enjoyment, group sizes for the hunts will be kept small and children will be divided according to age. Select a hunt time at registration: 10 am, 10:30 am, 11 am or 11:30 am. Ages: 3-12 | Fee: $10 | 8/CNC member.

Saturday, April 3

5 – 6:30 PM: *RSVP Easter Egg Dive @ Saginaw YMCA, SAGINAW

The cost is $5 per family for Y Members and $10 per family for Non-Members. Everyone who attends should bring their own basket, bag, etc. to collect their Easter Eggs. Lastly, any child under 7 years old who wishes to participate should be accompanied in the water by an adult. *RSVP LINK

10 AM – 4 PM: Indoor Tooth-Friendly Egg Hunt @ Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum, SAGINAW

Come out for an eggceptional egg hunt adventure and scour our gallery exhibits in search of plastic eggs during our 8th annual Indoor Tooth-Friendly Egg Hunt! In exchange for eggs, children will receive a gift bag including all the essentials for proper oral hygiene (and some other fun goodies, too). Plus, kids will receive a dental-themed book! Cost: General admission.

1 – 6 PM: Factory of the Dead – Chapter VI: A Creepy Easter Egg Hunt @ Factory of the Dead, SAGINAW

Can you survive Peter Rotten Tail and Escape with all of your eggs? A Creepy Easter Egg Hunt at Factory of the Dead. Your group will find and collect eggs along the way and can redeem them for prizes afterwards. Beware of the Trickster Bunnies, they will try and steal your eggs when you’re not looking. There will be egg hunts for all children – infant through 5th grade – with special prizes for each age category. Egg hunt times are staggered (see below), but activities begin in the school at 9:00am – don’t be late!

12 PM – FREE – 14th Annual Old Town Easter Egg Hunt @ Saginaw County Courthouse, SAGINAW

This year we will hand-stuff 30,000 eggs with 2 pieces of candy each, probably making it one of the largest Easter Egg Hunts in the State of Michigan. It will take place on Saturday, April 11th in three waves; beginning 12:00 noon at Borchard Park for toddlers aged 1-3 and their parents; moving across the street to the Saginaw County Courthouse Lawn at 12:20 pm for ages 4-6 and concluding at approximately 12:30pm for ages 7-9.
